Web Application Developer – Backend for CZ.NIC Labs

We are looking for a versatile intermediate or, preferably, senior developer who will help us polish Labs' results and present our projects in an even more attractive and accessible way.


What you’ll do:

  • Develop backends for web applications built on top of software like Knot Resolver, Knot DNS or BIRD

  • Design, specify, and implement high-performance APIs

  • Integrate existing software into cohesive products

  • or help consolidate and migrate legacy Labs infrastructure to modern CZ.NIC standards

What we’re looking for:

  • Advanced knowledge of Linux

  • Previous experience designing web backends

  • Proficiency in Python, FastAPI

  • Solid understanding of SQL (Postgres) and Kafka

  • A security-first mindset

  • English skills at a communicative level

  • Ability to read and write technical documentation

Bonus points for:

  • Basic understanding of computer networks

  • Experience working with third-party APIs

  • Familiarity with XML and JSON formats

  • General knowledge of virtualization
